Lord, give me the strength to support my husband as he walks The path of the Knights of Columbus.
 
Remind me often of the wonderful things the Knights accomplish, and that they need their family’s assistance to
succeed.

When he wearies of the great burden he has undertaken, let me help lighten his load in even the smallest of ways.

When he is frustrated, have me console and encourage him.

When the past tries to rule the present, let me remind him tostand firm in his convictions.

When he doubts himself, help me to rebuild his confidence.

When he is on the road, reassure me You will look after him.

When he forgets to say thank you, please give me a gentle pat on the back.

And…when I feel like my worldcenters on the Knights of Columbus, remind me to uphold priorities for family and friends and remind me of the many wonderful people we have met and the precious memories we possess.

When the time he spends away upsets me, remind me of the good works he is achieving.

As in all things, make me a pillar of support in good times, and in bad, asking only for his respect and love.

And…when he stands proud and strong, praised and lauded by the men he leads, let me find reward in his smile, for with that, I need not the limelight nor the glory.

For it is in service to others that we serve ourselves, it is in forgiving that we find forgiveness, and it is in offering our talent for God’s work that we shall find our greatest fulfillment.
