Regional Financial Secretary Trainers for North Carolina

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce three of the four Regional Financial Secretary Trainers for North Carolina. The fourth Regional trainer has yet to be appointed.

The Financial Secretaries and Faithful Comptrollers who attended the recent Organizational Meeting got an opportunity to meet and work with two of the Financial Secretary Trainers at the training session that was held at Bishop McGuiness High School in Kernersville. Those who did not attend missed a great learning opportunity.

The regional Financial Secretary Trainers will be available to hold regional and District training sessions on as as needed basis as well as one on one training with FS's and FC's that are in need of additional training or if they are just brand new and don't quite know what to do. They will also be available as needed to accompany the DD's and RDD's to individual councils where there are particular problems that need to be addressed.

The Regional divisions of responsibilities are roughly along the lines of The Regional District Deputy with some overlapping and sharing. Wayne Fortier will cover the Eastern part of the State, Greg Rashal is covering the central Region and Jo Bolick will cover the Western Region.

The regional Financial Trainers and I will also be your primary contact point for any additional training and IRS-Form 990 issues that are in need of being addressed to bring the FS's and FC's in your area up to the standards that are expected for the future needs of all councils and assemblies. I am not retiring, just getting some much needed help so we can serve you better. For the time being, Questions from the Raleigh and Charlotte area should come to me.

The financial integrity of our various councils and assemblies is one of the most important strengths that keep each council and assembly running year after year. We need to insure that all of them are running properly. K of C Supreme in cooperation with the NC State Deputy established the Financial Secretary Trainer positions to insure that this is accomplished as quickly as possible. Also, since the IRS has presented us with increasing opportunities, establishing a central organization to make sure you are informed and up to date becomes more important than in the past. Our commitment to you is to be there when you need help.
